TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Sales Rep

Are you someone who enjoys developing relationships with current and potential clients, architects, designers, home builders & realtors? Are you someone who is passionate about Audio and Video Systems, Wi-Fi and Network Systems, Lighting Control and Lighting Fixtures, Surveillance Camera Systems and more?

Job Duties

​

  • Develop a strong understanding of audio/video, networking, lighting, motorized window treatment, security, and energy management systems.

  • Meets or exceeds sales goals.

  • Negotiates contracts with prospective clients.

  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports.

  • Gives sales presentations to prospective clients.

  • Prepares and submits sales contracts for order.

  • Visits clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.

  • Maintains client records.

  • Answers client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

​

  • Minimum of a high school diploma required; post-secondary degree or certification preferred.

  • Previous sales experience required.

  • Previous experience in systems integration preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.

  • Industry recognized (CEDIA, manufacturer, etc.) credentials preferred.

HOME AUDIO/VIDEO INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

Install Tech

The basic function of the Service Technician is to troubleshoot and restore audio visual components and systems back to working conditions according to the design specifications.

​

Responsibilities

​

  • Install audio/video equipment including tv’s, amplifiers, speakers, networking devices and more.

  • When necessary, troubleshoot complex audio, video, control system, panel, and network switching problems and resolve

  • Partner with clients and engineers to ensure proper development of control systems and panels.

  • Coordinate with Project Management and Field Technicians for project scheduling.

  • Ability to effectively and timely report progress and updates to customer and staff.
     

Required Skills

​

  • Familiarity and understanding of consumer based AV equipment and operation.

  • Extensive understanding of plan designs and signal flow.

  • Very strong attention to detail and solid troubleshooting skills.

  • Must have high degree of autonomy and ability to recommend solutions and solve problems quickly and effectively

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, engineers, PM’s, techs, etc., both written and verbal.
     

Preferred Skills
 

  • Experience with data networking setup and configuration.

  • Intermediate understanding of audio DSP programming and testing.

  • Installation experience with networked AV equipment.

  • Strong PC (Microsoft Office) and Networking experience.

  • Ability to manage resources, set priorities and achieve deadlines.

LOW VOLTAGE - ENTRY LEVEL

Low Voltage

 Essential Duties and Responsibilties

​

  • Assist with the installation, repair, maintenance and testing of residential electrical systems in full support of Acoustic Evolution safety, operations and productivity initiatives.

  • Use industry related hand tools and power tools, under supervision.

  • Assist with measuring, cutting, bending, threading and installing wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.

  • Assist with wires and cables within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.

  • Splice and terminate wires at junction points.

  • Clean, gather and transport materials to construction site.

  • Communicate effectively with crew members.

  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.
     

Skills and Experience

​

  • Knowledge of electrical theory, basic circuits, branch circuits, and specialty systems.

  • Knowledge of conductors and wiring methods.

  • The ability to read and understand electrical single line blueprints.

  • Familiar with aspects of operation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.

  • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment and how to safely use them.
     

Physical Demands

​

  • Lift 50 lbs from ground and pull 50 lbs of force.

  • Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling.

  • Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lb tool belt.

  • Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.

  • Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the A/V, Construction industry
